The short stories in this collection were shared by University of Wisconsin-Madison alumni and other Madison residents in the 1960s during the Madison Reunion, a multi-day social event and conference that took place at Memorial Union in June 2018. Many of the stories gathered during the weekend include reflections on the protests, demonstrations, and other tumultuous events that occurred on campus, in the wider city, and on a national level during the late 1960s and 1970s. The story gathering that yielded these reflections was a partnership between the University Archives Oral History Program; Madison Public Library's Living History Project; and the Wisconsin Historical Society.
